MEET OUR TEAM
JOHN MCLAUGHLIN DDS was raised in Aloha, Oregon, a suburb of Portland. Following High School, Dr. McLaughlin served a church mission for two years in England. Upon returning home, he attended Brigham Young University where he majored in Zoology. After graduating from BYU with a B.A.degree, Dr. McLaughlin was accepted into Indiana University Dental School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Indiana’s Dental School especially focused on preparing dentists to use problem solving techniques to properly diagnose and treat patients in the most effective and ethical way. Dr. McLaughlin graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May, 2003. During his first year out of school, he practiced dentistry with “Affordable Dentistry”, a group practice in Grants Pass, Oregon. For the following five years, Dr. McLaughlin worked as an associate in Meridian, Idaho as well as building up his own satellite practice in the small town of horseshoe Bend. During this time, he gained valuable experience and knowledge in hospital dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and endodontics. In April, 2009, Dr. McLaughlin decided to move closer to family and purchased an established dental practice from Dr. Child in Gooding, Idaho. He and his staff have enjoyed getting to know the people in Gooding and the surrounding area. In his spare time, John enjoys football, hiking, snowboarding, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Nancy, have four boys.
GRETCHEN CRAWFORD WARILA (Dental Hygienist) has been a dental hygienist for over 20 years. She is very knowledgeable in her field and loves educating her patients about all dentistry has to offer. She has a passion for helping people achieve their most beautiful and healthy smile. Gretchen grew up in Tillamook, Oregon. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland Oregon. She and her husband are adjusting to their “Empty Nest” as both their children are attending college. Look for her at the home BSU football games. “I am enjoying being a part of the Clover Creek Dental family. The fun, professional, and caring atmosphere has been a pleasure to work in every day. My goal is to provide a relaxed, comfortable, and informative dental experience. I enjoy getting to know each patient on a personal level and strive to see “Your Smile.”
TARA BURTENSHAW (Dental Hygienist) received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University I Pocatello, Idaho. She has been licensed to practice dental hygiene in Idaho since July 31, 2007. She has had experience providing dental hygiene care in a variety of different dental offices including: a General family dental practice, a Periodontal office where she provided care for patients with advanced periodontal disease, and a Pediatric dentist where she worked primarily with children 12 years and older. Tara and her husband, Ben, have lived in Gooding for three years. Her husband works as a P.A. at the Gooding Hospital. Tara is a native of Twin Falls and was excited to move back to the Magic Valley area. Tara and Ben have three children. In her spare time she enjoys water skiing, snowboarding, and scrapbooking.
LINDSAY COOK (Dental Hygienist) grew up in Bear Lake, Idaho. She attended college at Idaho State University in Pocatello, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree with an emphasis in Dental Hygiene. Lindsay worked at Comfort Care Dental in Pocatello for six years before moving with her husband to Gooding, Idaho. Her husband is a Physical Education teacher at Gooding High School, and they have one son. Lindsay loves helping people improve their oral health. She focuses on patient education and strives to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible during their hygiene appointments. Lindsay enjoys reading, skiing, backpacking, mountain biking, golfing, and spending time with her family.
SHERYL BAKER (Receptionist) received an Associate degree in Office Education from Ricks College. After graduating, she did secretarial work for Utah State University and Morton Thiokol Inc. Prior to coming to Clover Creek Dental she was a librarian at the local Gooding Public Library where she was known for her friendly smile and cheerful personality. Sheryl was born and raised in Parma, Idaho. She and her husband, Dan have been married 21 years. They have six children: three girls and three boys. When she has spare time, Sheryl enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and playing board games with her family.
BRANDY HENNEFER (Dental Assistant) and her husband Shawn recently moved to Gooding. Brandy grew up in Declo, Idaho and her husband is from Carey. Brandy received her Dental Assisting degree from Idaho State University Technical College. Before working at Clover Creek Dental, Brandy worked as a dental assistant at 7 Day Dental in Elko, Nevada. She and her husband have one son and are expecting the arrival of a baby girl soon.
RAINEY JACKSON (Dental Assistant) was born in Chico, California and lived there until 1994 when her parents moved to Idaho. They stayed in Idaho for a year and then moved to Missouri with the Structural Welding Business. In 1997 they moved back to Idaho. She graduated as Valedictorian from Camas County High School in 2005.
Rainey married her high school sweetheart, Joe. They had their first child in 2006 and settled in the beautiful town of Gooding. She completed an associate’s degree in Biology and a TC in Dental Assisting from the College of Southern Idaho. In 2009 her and her husband welcomed a set of twin girls who made their family complete. Her goal for the future is to someday complete a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene.
MELISSA LEMMON (Dental Assistant) graduated from Caldwell High School in 2002. In 2006 she graduated with a Dental Assisting Certification in Boise with a 4.0 GPA. She married an incredible man in 2006 named Levi and moved to Utah. While in Utah she worked as a dental assistant for Alston Family Dental for almost 7 years. During that time she welcomed daughter Kennedy into the world in 2010 and then son Kolt in 2011. Melissa moved to Hagerman to be back in her home state and close to family. She couldn’t be happier to have moved to such a beautiful place with incredible people
